It wasn't all that long ago that I recall seeing a 934 with Le Mans history selling for $60k in decent shape. I guess I should have bought it...

Beautiful color. Is this the car that was in Excellence a while back that Jerry woods 'tamed' with EFI/ Garret turbo? Fuel rails don't look CIS!

Does anyone know what the round cylinders on the underside are for?

Man, the someone really knew how to ugly up a beautiful car at one point!!

Nice car!!!

That car has some nice history and has been in very capable hands over the years...

Restoration by Jim Torres.. that guy knows 934 and 935s and has been around for ever.. doing his thing!

Mechanicals by Jerry Woods.. don't even have to speak to that!

Monte Shelton.. that guy has been collecting and racing Porsches for decades... a real car guy too.. owns a Jaguar Dealership.. couple of others I think. Always keeps a stash of "wish I had one" vintage race cars around! Really nice guy to boot..

Bill Penny.. met him a few times too, he's moved around through a number of vintage/collector car dealerships over the years.. he's a pretty stand-up guy.

Think the cylinders underneath are remote reservoirs for the shocks... yeah I know, that ain't factory..

Ok, so maybe if we pooled our money from the board Monte might give us a break on the price?

Fantastic original 934!

Now, think about the fact that you could have a "tribute" car for a fraction of the price and it will be completely fresh and finished in whatever color you want.

In race cars beauty sometimes follows function. See my older, still as modified to to 934.5 935 track use spec, now on ebay for a fraction of that price. EBay Item #170232709059. I know it is not a factory and the collector value is not the same however the fun factor is there and with the additional $400K +dollars ( if you had the choice) could be used for other great stuff or profitable investments. It will be interesting to see who gets the original factory 934, no doubt a very fortunate next owner.
