opinions on 930 trans

I am interested in building another 600 hp 930. Last time I started with a 85 model. This time I was considering 89-92 model to get a different transmission. Preferably the 89 model since it had the older body style which I really love.

My question is: Can the 89 5 speed transmission handle the hp & tq from a high power engine?

Hell yeah, it's supposed to be as strong as the '91 tranny.

Look how much power Juan Ruiz put through a regular G50 too.

What happened to the Nobel or Altima?
Have you found an EFI tuner you are comfortable with?
The G50/xx will take 600CHP all day long.

I decided I do not like the look of the Noble as well as a 930. I think I would like the Pat Williams EFI if I let him make all the engine equipment choices. Last time it was frustrating since I had someone else's EFI computer, ignition, intake, and cams, that I was asking him to tune.

Those Nobles look awesome! Maybe it's just that I'm a Brit

I can't understand why but each time I sell a 911 turbo (I've had 4 already). I find myself looking for another one a few months later. I sold my last one out of shear frustration over the lack of good repair shops that can work on highly modified cars. I should have parked it for a few months and gathered some patience.

Either way, it seems that for me, no car looks or feels as good as a 930. I've had a 94 3.6 turbo as well and I did not like it quite as much as the 930. Much nicer ride and creature comforts but not the same raw feel.

The Noble looks too much like a race car for daily driving. I would feel awkward driving that in traffic. The 930 seems just as much at home on the street as the track.

I just had a look at some pics of Nobles, they don't look as good as the 911 or 930.
When I've seen real Nobles they have always been moving so I haven't really had time to see that they are a little like a TVR...
