Laser Jammers

Has anyone installed laser jammers on the front and where are they mounted.
Not sure where the best place will be. I know in some states they are banned, but where I am they are not legal to use but you can install them.......umm just for show officer.

I have heard that they don't really work... have you tested one?

I have spoke to some of the guys in the Bullrun car ralley (shown on tv) and they swear by the Blinder brand. The shop in Calgary that sells them, says they have been tested on local police laser guns and work. I have not installed mine yet so I can't say for sure. I just havn't seen any installed on a early 911 yet to see where guys are mounting them.

I understand from talking to one participant of this years bull run, that 6 cars got more than 1 ticket even they had Jammers.

I know some got nailed by the cruisers coming up behind and then turning on the radar so there wasn't time for the detectors to go off. This happened on four cars I know of.
You also are right they are not 100% effective, mostly it is just a matter of the police car using non laser radar which a laser jammer is not effective. Now a radar jammer would be but they are highly illegal. Jammers are just a helpful tool against boosting over the speed limit by accident of course. Placment seems to be a factor in them working. Most of the police I talked to said they target the front plate and if there is none then the signal lights. So close to them seems to be the place.

I have heard they target the windshield. There is a little diffraction of the light beam but it is the biggest target with no way to absorb the beam. I work with some of the guys that designed the original B-2 and the F-22 radar absorbing material... they told me to find something else to do since the cost and the number of wavelengths that would have to be absorbed would be astronomical in expense. The best advice they gave me was to stay near a tractor trailer. The radar cross section (RCS) of a tractor trailer makes it darn near impossible for the Ka band radar to distinguish and most cops know that. But then again... a Porsche with a big beautiful tail is just asking for it regardless of how you try to explain the "science" to the officer. Ask me how I know

Ya that actually worked for me when I crested a hill doing ___mph there was already a truck at the top and BEEP went my valentine 1 just as I was beside the truck. The cop had his radar on but never turned around due to what you said I think.
Now if I could just find a big rig that could keep up.
