Yes I am aware of this.
I already have a up-pipe that has been cut down in length (at the top end) to accommodate a B6 IC so I intend to cut off the 3LDZ connection at the bottom and use silicon hose between turbo and pipe.
I haven't actually got things assembled far enough to be able to work out the final details, but that is the general plan. Boy, is this so much easier on an engine stand!!
