1974 Paris Auto Show 930 - wowywowow

While I hope to get some more pics of this silver gem when I can get there with a proper camera, here's the first prepreduction prototype 930 mere feet away from the cruddy cell-cam:

A truly awestrickening sight to behold and experience.

While the show car had a wooden mockup for a motor, it's now alleged to have an RSR setup back there, hence the tag I imagine.

Location / details to be kept on the downlow as it's a sensitive issue from what I gather. But thought I'd share the shot regardless.

Again, hopefully I can get there with a proper lens! Truly mind frickin bending!!!

I wonder if the wooden engine mock-up leaked oil?

My favorite 911, like a 3.0RS with turbo-engine, sunroof and rocker trim. So cool!!

There was a nice write up about that car in Excellence some months ago. Love the color.

Is that an Aussie license plate? Vic or NSW?

I saw this car in the flesh over here about 6 months ago, it was for sale at that stage. I took some pics I'll dig them out, I even took some pics of the underside of the engine.

The word is it was sold for $500K AUD which is about $490K US, could be BS though. I have also been told it changed hands before that for something like 60-70k! It's super low and runs on wide 15 inch wheels, has a tartan interior, is right hand drive, RSR engine (I did hear the original engine was wooden and leaked sap) and it really does look great.

I know someone who knows a lot about the specs and history of car, I'll get some more info.

This is a photo I took of the car's sale sheet at a dealer in Sydney in January 2007. The chassis number shown on the form is incorrect. The shell used was a 1973 2.4S, therefore the chassis number should be 9113600157. I heard that it was sold to Chicago, but that may be wrong. The car was raced here in Australia extensively before being registered for road use. When new it had the Carrera script (as used on the later Carreras) engraved in the top portion of the windscreen but that was lost many years ago. I have over 60 shots of the car, but it seems I can only upload one shot on this site.

It seems that you can upload more than one photo. So here are a couple more.
