vacum hoses to wastegate

930 1980 disconnecting my boost knob and want to return to stock . the factory manual show one hose going to the intercooler and the other one is not showing it routed to anything. is this just atmosphere?

The fitting on the side of the wastegate is boost pressure input. The fitting on the end should be vented to atmosphere. Run a hose from that fitting into the engine compartment and arrange the opening so dust/dirt/water will not enter.
