Panamera invite

So I just replied to the Panamera invite I got - anyone else?

Anyone have any ideas when the early models will hit the demo circuit for such events?

Curious. Can't wait - for the heck of it heh heh...

Paul, for the lowly bottom feeders like myself, what is that exactly?

Oh no Jeff... don't get me wrong now - I have been / am / will continue to be a lowly bottom feeder.

It's just that I got this invite, somehow such silliness (eg. Maybach, etc.) lands in me lap here (I wear knee pads) from time to time - some are better than others tho certainly.

What is that exactly?

Dunno - hence the reason for me post. Hoping for some seat time obviously - that never sucks. We'll see. Hoped someone here might know more on what to expect.

Stay tooned...

The Panamera or the event?

The Panamera is Porsche's new 4 door sedan. Or "luxury sport saloon". The event that you have been invited to is the unveiling put on by your local dealer. usually a cocktail party. no driving.

Car will be hitting our shores early fall of next year.

Yeah it was the "invite" or "event" that I was curious about. Here's to hoping that Porsche's latest phallus looks better in person than in pictures

I was about to say, enjoy the test ride because nobody will buy one of those things based on the looks and that car will be gone from their line up in less than 5 years, IMHO.

I bet it drives like the balls however!

hahaha. apparently it does. My salesmanager saw it in person at the dealer only unveiling in Chicago. He is a strait shooter, and he did say it looked better in person. I will be sure to send you a special invite to the event. Open bar dude!!!

Well being that John A (AngM018) is a good friend of mine and in Porsche sales...I hope he sells them like meth to a whore! Okay, maybe that was a bit much, I need to lay off the Grand Theft Auto...sheesh!

Darn, that's disappointing - was hoping for some WOT shenanigans / debauchery in one... regardless how simply _FUGLY_ that they are.

I agree, I do bet they drive like the balls (good one) - tits AND nipples, even. But are they pretty homely. Look like a German Maxima (previous gen).

But I allllllways open my schedule to seat time - shame this is just a whine 'n cheese(y) event. Lame.

Tx for the headzup John. Porsche sales huh? Good fer you, cool to hear. I too hope you sell 'em like hotcakes 8-). Or meth to a hoar, butofcourse...

and boy are they selling! I stopped watching the news, b/c everytime I come to work, it feels like the economy is better than ever. Of all the cars we have, we are selling more of the high end, and Cayennes than anything. Here are some examples of what we have sold in the past 2 months:

Carrera GT
08 GT2
Ford GT
a couple GT3RS's
Nissan GTR
a Few 997 Turbo's
Cayenne Turbo S's (3 of em)
and we cant keep a pre-owned Cayenne on the lot.

bad economy? what bad economy?

I do have to say I love my job! Wake up the in the morning, and start thinking of what I will drive first.

That's certainly encoraging to hear John. Good for you, hope it continues there for you.

I'm a comm'l banker and have a client in your market area - they recently confided in me that your market hasn't been hit for some reason like most others... not the bubble and now not the burst. Here's to hoping that stays that way.

It's *quite* the contrary for my job - wake each day and cringe to answer the phone worring about who's hanging up the keys next. It's bad out there.

and

I also feel that there are def. those out there that are simply not affected by a lot of all this. Well, 'not affected' as in sure they've lost $ or value, but they are now in buying mode as to take advantage of recent price breaks on most items (cars, houses, stocks, etc.).

Unfort. that ain't me. D'oh.

8-)
