Finally got her home and in the light the yellow does look quite a bit brighter. Finally reunited with her stable mate !

Would this be the color? It looks silver but it has a hint of gold in it. My friend owns this 88 factory slant.

nope. i'm pretty sure it was linen. like a light metallic gold. i thought it was a mercedes color "amethyst" paint to sample but a search brings up colors way to purplish....

it was listed in the pano classifieds 1990-92ish out of MI. can't find a set to flip thru.

I like this one. I am working on a silver 87 factory slant now. I have been wondering how my Ruf's would look on Silver slant.

I'm not really sure yet if I would powder paint solid black or what yet. I am going to use them on the red 87 factory slant and the DP too. The big Brembo brakes sure look good behind the black wheels though.

Thanks for posting.

None that I know of yet. I have registered 930Sregistry.com to get a registry going but working full time and getting my master's degree full time leaves me with no extra time.

I want to get a registry started as soon as I can though.

I'm looking for a lightweight "nice fitting" cover for my slant... See picture for reference.

Anybody got any suggestions? Thanks!

I saw that picture on Ebay too and was wondering the same thing. It looks like my red factory s/n under the cover except my BBS's came color keyed red to match the car.

Mercedes "amethyst" is a blue that has a lot of indigo in it that turns it to a shade of purple in certain sunlight kind of like Prussian Blue on a Porsche.

The traditional Mercedes Light gold of that era was called Smoke Silver.

Well since the whole slantnose registry seems to never get out of the starting gate I decided to try and lay the foundation for one on Facebook by establishing a "Flachabau" page. It's probably the easiest way I know of to share info and start to lay the foundation for a future registry. I will be making periodic updates and adding info and pictures that I have collected over the years. If you would like to join and share pictures, information or the story on your car, please do. Let's try and see how many of us are out there and get the ball rolling. Thanks!

Just search on "Flachbau"
