I have one that was ruined when people broke into my storage and was left in the rain to ruin.

I have a copy also that Bluebox made for me....thanks again.

Would still like to find an original in good condition and maybe will find one at Hershey this year.

How much over priced at $104K is this fine 87 red turbo slant nose recently listed by Park Place Bellevue, WA? It is a head turner! http://www.parkplaceltd.com/pre-owned-porsche-911-turbo-cars/detail/1987-Porsche-911-Turbo-Slantnose/282/WP0JB0934HS051447/~/ModelActual_~ExteriorColor_/5.

Overpriced?
Depends on the market, it's a pristine example with 8k miles, and they ain't making anymore.
Last yr a black one w 4k miles went for 100k, I know the buyer.
Many factors, originality, condition, miles, etc
Ultimately, the market will decide.

I paid $32k for this '86 two years ago, 47k miles. Ultra-Smith/RUF Conversion. It has around 51k miles on it now. I think it is worth mid to low $40s now. So I am going to say about $55-$60k overpriced.

But if anyone would like to hand me $104k for it, I'm all in!

So I am going out on a limb and say that $104k might be a bit on the high side. But if someone will pay it, then it must be worth it!

I think you did very well, but I think this car being a factory 505 w little or no miles accounts for the price.
Originality, condition and miles are key IMO.
But once again, you got a great deal and I think your car is worth closer to 50k.

Sorry for the double post. We will chalk that up to old guy + computer glitch! I thought that my first post was a bit harsh and tried to edit it.

The only truly Ultra-Smith parts beyond the RUF Mods is the built in Radar Detector, a lock box, one touch electric windows, custom stereo and the "winkler". I can flip a switch and when I put the car in reverse, the license plate folds down and revels a back up light. Apparently it is referred to as the Winkler. I can not imagine paying for that! They did not do the 3.4 ltr upgrade, 5 speed, or a RUF Intercooler. So I call it half a RUF BTR! I have a RUF Intercooler but I still need to get it installed. The interior upgrades are the real gem of this little beast. Every knob was wrapped in leather and the seats were piped in black. All carpets replaced by RUF carpets.

I am trying to collect some data on the car. I am told it was the show car that Ultra-Smith used as a demo. Unfortunately I can not find any documentation to prove it. All I have is the original window sticker for the stock 930 and a list of options with no prices. Another one of the Pelican's sent me a Ultra-Smith Price sheet so I have an idea of what all of it cost in 1986.

Looks like the original owner "used the first clutch up" in first 3K miles... Maybe never drove a standard???

They used to advertise their cars quite a bit in "Automotor Und Sport."

Was this pic taken by you.. Road Atlanta?

This is definitely no B&B. See attached pic for a original B&B

Oh no. I will keep it until I run out of food! It is nice to know that I got a good deal for a change. My market profile tends to be more along the lines of buy high and sell low!

Thanks for the heads up though.
