Dumb question but that fits the 930? I think I'll give it a try if yes.

Actually you would also need the fenders to make it all work.

Also the hood is different as it has outlet vents ( see photo ) to discharge air from the oil cooler. I also should try for it in case I ever need a spare. As I check the records it is on its 3rd nose due to driveways etc in under 12K miles!!! I think I'm a better driver than that but ?????

A pretty rare find. Shipping to the west coast was a killer for me. I thought it would make great garage art.
I paid a chunk of change a few years ago getting my DP front spoiler fixed after cracking it in 2 places.
I can't imagine what it would cost to get that one fixed.

Heres a shot of a similar DP spoiler that would fit a stock 930.

When I first looked it was at $5x.xx with reserve not met. Now it's at $587 reserve not met. I don't need it that bad.

Serge did it on his 930/5 tribute, it takes some work on the sides to make it fit the lines of the 930 fenders...but its possible with minimal effort.

Somebody buy it!!!!!!!

Reserve was NOT met for $825. The fellow who owns it was a DP Motorsport dealer/distributer in a earlier life venture and he had this one left over. I spoke to him after the sale closed to continue to try for it . He mentioned that the part was new around $3200 back in the mid 80s.( this stuff to convert was really pricy). The original appraisal for the Kremer 935 ( see photo post# 6 ) using DP panels and special built for Andretti including other race modifications, including starting with a new 1984 930 to build from, lists the original cost @ over $200K 1984)!!!!!. It may be awhile before the original investment cost, with interest compounded for 25 years, is ever recovered. If so I hope I am able to make the tranfer considering I will have lost interest in it by then.

I was the one who shows the last bid of $825. I actually bid more but it didn't go higher I guess because of the reserve or something. I have been on ebay for 10 years and this hasn't happened before.

I saw this before gumba posted it also and was hoping to get it for a really good price. I finally paid a fair price for it, a little less then the reserve and now I am the proud owner. I really needed this piece for my 79 DP935.

The shipping was what was going to be the killer part of the deal for me and everyone else that wanted it. Could have been $400-$500 to ship with the crating charge.

I travel to Chicago from time to time on Amtrak and new I would be able to buy a ticket from my town to Chicago for around $100.00 round trip. I had a day to spare so this is what I did. I went there yesterday and picked it up myself, carried it on the train, and got back to Kentucky this morning. I was gone for 26 hours and had some fun picking up the DP part.

I think maybe 40-50 people at Union Station in Chicago wanted to know what it was. Many people were guessing it was a car fender or bumper.

People were telling me I must really love my car to pick it up and carry it home on the train. They are right I do love my car, and this part is very hard to find, especially NOS with the lights and all. For the love of Porsche's.

Hey, congratulations, a very cool piece. Glad to see it will get used. I was quoted $350-400 shipping to Ca. I figured someone on the East Coast would get it.

Thanks. I'm glad it worked out so well. Now to continue the search for a few more parts.
