Rod: I know some guys brag that they have NO OIL LEAKS....and my hat's off to them...but on the 930 I think there's always going to be that one little spot somewhere....I put in all new gaskets on just about everything except didn't bust the heads loose....and I'm still getting a little drop here and there.....although the more I drive it, the better it seems to seal up.

I guess I sort of threw down the gauntlet with my comment about passing you on the straight....now I'm going to have to put up or shut up because you won't let up....what turbo are you running? Did you do a leakdown? Or are you going to keep me in the dark till that fateful day on the twisties? Are we all running CIS? Or is Bryan EFI?

And yeah Bryan...chime in with the goodies. Look at the title of this thread....

Bryan and I are still CIS, he has some mods now that are new for 09!
I’ll let him splain what they are

My engine is totally stock (43K miles) with 3% leak down and includes RarlyL8 Zork/934 WG pipes.
Just found out that it still had the original spark plugs (22 yrs old!)

Also, I’ve been driving the Friant route for > 15 years!
Some local Viper guy claims he is the king, but I beg to differ!

Gabe fixed it for ya!

Here’s mine….

Oh great....not only will you not lift this time...but your're the local king of the Friant twisties? You're willing to take on a Viper? And I'm a flatlander coming down there to throw down the gauntlet? I suppose the next issue is we go for pinks? I'm shipping St. Agnes hospital four quarts of chicken blood in case I get hurt....

Got a Trailex 7541 to replace my 7031 (75"wide vs 70") so now The Pumpkin will fit on the trailer with her race shoes on. No more tire cha cha cha at the track!!!!

Also did a few little niceities:

-removed all the parking brake stuff from the rear disc/drum (anybody need any of those parts?)
-fixed the stripped brake bleeder
-removed the radio and cleaned up the wiring under the dash
-removed the evaporator condensor and fan from the smugglers box
-removed remaining ventilation stuff from behind the dash

The stuff I took off weighed in at about 18 lbs!

Still to do:
-front rotors
-tranny fluid
-fix the mysterious clutch problem (anybody out there with a G50 conversion with clutch slippage problems?)
-lighten driver by 20 kgs (work in progress)

Can't wait till spring
