Joyeux Noel! What did your 930 get for Christmas?

Taking a break from the mayhem. The kiddies got theirs so what did your other love receive?

Hope everyone is well and able to have a happy holiday with family and friends!

Cheers!

Ha, good thread topic.

My Porsche may be getting lexan windows for Christmas as well as a free Jenny Craig weight loss program.

I wanted to surprise my 930 with a nice adjustable rennline gas pedal and wevo shifter but they are pricey, and my 930 needs to be a cheap date this year!

The trac dog is getting her tranny fixed and the black beast hopes to be running better soon ( not sure yet what that will take, I think it's new plug wires)

930 gets a new turbo. It will sit on the shelf awaiting the SSI system from RarlyL8. My birthday is in January, so we'll call that a birthday present. Happy holidays to all!

This year has been an expensive year for me because of my Turbo Datsun Z and then buying another new car, so the 930 did not get much money spent on her.

I am itching to make my own custom muffler with a 3.5" Burns Stainless muffler and all 3.5" piping early in the spring of '09. Sadly...I have hit a brick wall on my 930 in terms of parts and "bolt-ons", and my next step is to pull the motor, build it and EFI it, but not willing to drop $20+K on that right now. Especially as the car is running incredible and is still a tire spinner in 2nd gear.

I would love to get some Marco Manzie headers for my car...too...LOL!

We'll see.

Yasin

Good post Brian....Merry Xmas to you and all the other folks in the forum. JWAS...you're going to love the SSI and system Brian puts together for you. I'm running his system and love it. The presents my 930 got was a new walnut shift knob inset with the correct 4 gear shift pattern for the 930 tranny....a padded 3 spoke 930 steering wheel with the Porsche crest in it (kept the original), and had the B6 intercooler reset to fit better, and Leask's adjustable WUR and solenoid reset by a pro who also installed my LM-1...so everything is running right as it should...right on stoich at idle. It runs great and is a pleasure to drive. Now I have to go down to Fresno and meet the guys. (Xboardwell et al). I was thinking of selling my slant, but not now...it's finally where it should have been all along.

Mines getting longer rear wheel studs. Then swapping out the 8&11x15's for 9&11x17 3 pc fuchs w/Goodyear 255 & 315 tires.
I also looking for a Momo Benetton shift knob for a little color.

DDD: Your turbo will love you when you put the Wevo shifter in. I have a Wings adjustable pedal mounted to an oem late pedal if your interested.

The first seat's in!

I don't know what the problems are I read about with installing the PP. I had to drill new holes in the OEM sliders to fit the Recaro side mounts, but otherwise it was a lot easier than installing a kart seat. I mounted the Recaro side rails on the stock sliders and bolted them to the floor. Then I installed the seat with hard rubber spacers between the seat and side mounts.

It looks taller than the stock seat, but with a helmet on it seems to have a little more clearance. I'll change to Recaro double locking sliders which might give a little more head room and more crash protection.

Glad to see your keeping that beautiful slant Chuck!

Rod.....when the weather gets a bit better towards spring...I'm making the trip down there to hook up with you and Bryan....but you can drive behind him with his RarlyL8 zork....I'm looking forward to making the trip now that gas isn't $4.50 a gallon.

I see on some of the other forums that Bryan has been busy working on the car....hopefully by spring we'll all be ready to roll. The twisties sound great. The new turbo makes it much more linear....got rid of some of that slam back boost that comes on at 4K. Still leak a little oil, but I don't think I'll ever have a totally dry undercarriage. I intend to drive it and not worry about the mileage affecting value...

Chuck, yea we both have our engines out right now
Bryan is doing a full top end; I helped him knock the wrist pins back in last Sunday.

Im just doing the least required with 40k miles, trying to fix the oil hemorrhage, hope I succeed!

Im with you on the mileage! I intend on putting many miles this year alone, now that I really know where the engine/transmission are at with the drop.
I will not lift this time Chuck my TRGs are solid now!

Jeez Bryan, chime in already with all the 930 schwag you got this Christmas!
