1989 930 at Auction
The red 89 930 Targa just changed hands at todays Barrett Jackson Scottsdale ( Speed Channel ) lot#943-2 at $48400. It has been on Ebay before. It was red/Black with 80K miles. Lot# 966.2 a 2004 Twin Turbo Cab and lot 1052.1 is a 1989 red 930 coupe both
will be later today. On Saturday lot # 1043 is a 1997 TwinTurbo. All sold to the highest bidder with no test drive or PPI. Some folks just do it that way. Last edited by voitureltd; 01-16-2009 at 01:39 PM.. |

Thats 48K without the buyers and the sellers premium which is 10% each side.

That was with the 10% buyers premium ($44K+$4.4K to $48.4K final price) sorry about that but they list the final sale price on their report as all inclusive. The 2004 Twin turbo cab got $78K the red 89 930 SN coupe ( with some bolt on changes) got $51,700 . Same day same group of buyers in this parallel universe of buyers sellers auction world.

$48,400 plus 10% from the buyer and seller? B-J makes $9680 on the car or is my math wrong? What a rip off ..

I think its 8% to the sellers charge. But 18% should make private sales a real deal for the buyer, especially with a ride & drive and a PPI to boot. Sort of makes you wonder what some sellers are missing and for buyers to appreciate what a good deal they can get if savvy enough to check out all of the options when buying or selling.
