Early 930 shifter housing and parts

Do the early 80's Euro 930's have spring centered shifters? The reason I ask is because my shifter has no springs, just a swivel or hinge that holds the shifter in the housing and a rubber gate, that's it. I don't have any of the parts that some of the diagrams show, not even close. Most of the parts suppliers have five speed parts...and these guys seem lost when it comes to early turbo transmission shifter stuff. What is the number designation of the 4 speed 930 turbo transmission?

Are you saying they should be spring centered?

Nope, no spring's in either of my shifters. The early 930 shifters are very basic with a lever, piece of rubber, housing, and a piece of metal that it pivots on. I was just saying I have a spare available for sale if he is looking for one.

Any of you guys think it's possible to "upgrade" the shifter/housing to the spring centered style? Has anyone here done it? There's just too much flop in mine and I sure would like to tighten things up. All bushings have been replaced. Chime in.
