Steering Wheel Question

Has anyone tried this s/wheel on their 930? I like the looks of it, like the suede, but am wondering about the offset (described as "deep dish") . . . am wondering how far back it would move the wheel (toward the direction of the driver) ??? I see that PP does not list it . . .

I believe that's what Finnbar McKenna (Eric) is using.

That is exactly the wheel I have - LOVE IT - the dish is IMO required for the proper seating position in a 930.

i hadn't thought about that as an option , but it would really do alot for my driving position to have the wheel pushed back towards the driver, maybe get my knees out of the dash a little bit! haha

Oh yeah makes a big difference! Plus, no more fingers rubbing the dash -

This is the Motorsport version from Porsche, and its the same wheel pretty much in alcantara which has THE BEST GRIP I've ever felt when you have suede gloves.

Craig is 150% on with the dish giving the propper seating position, it makes everything just so perfect IMHO. Even the addition of the quick release setup from CDOC doesn't make it difficult to get into the car or manuver in and out.

As you can see in the bottom pic, its the perfect dish depth to give your arms the slight bend needed while still allowing you to sit comfortably away from the dash to give more room for your feet.

Yeah I got it from Gert at Carnewal, price was $430+ $35 for 3 day Fed Ex shipping to California from Belguim. Comes with crest horn button and hub.

Link for Wheel

Gert is one of the best if not THE best of the vendor relationships I have. He's awesome.

I have the Sparco version and I love it. The only downside is it's harder to reach the turn signal stalk, but that's also a benefit on the track.

You can heat up the switch lever and bend it slow and it'll bring it back into reach a bit better.. I did it on my SC....

That's a great idea.... I might give it a try.
WIth the deep dish Sparco as above + the removable steering wheel (which adds another 1.5")-- equals a turn signal about 4" away

Thanks for all the great info, men !!! I just had a birthday (my 41st) and was given a "coupon" from my brother for a steering wheel of my choosing - looks like one of these will be on its way soon !!!!!
