K27 ID help

Came across what might be a good deal on a K27, but not entirely sure of the application. Per the seller, the tag numbers say:

K-27-2
X5/286/000
K27.2/955/986

Supposedly a take-off from a 911 turbo, year not mentioned. Anybody know this one?

Here is a picture of my stock K27-7200 dataplate:

From what I can tell, the four lines break down as follows:

KUND NR = Customer Number
GROSSE = Size
ATL NR = (Abgasturbolader) Turbocharger Number
AUSF NR = (Ausfuhrung) Version Number

Maybe some of our German speaking friends can verify this.

These K27 turbos are used on a variety of vehicles. I suggest taking it to someone who knows turbos for a look at the dimesnsions and specs if you buy it.

I think all those numbers define things like the compressor side and turbo exhaust side particulars, and from what I understand the K27 has several configurations. For 930 applications anyway, the most common seem to be the 7200 and the 7006 (I have the 7006 on mine). Who knows, perhaps this used unit came off a later 911 Turbo of which I'm not familiar.
I just figured since the price was right I might pick it up and have it rebuilt, but not if it won't work for a slightly modded 930 in the first place.
