Pics of my slant-nose next to my 996TT
Well here are some comparison shots. I must say that I prefer the look of the 930. One of the best looking P-cars ever built. My wife also prefers the looks of the 930 but she would rather drive the 996TT. That is OK with me!
Enjoy the pics! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

It is amazing how much the slant nose seems to have influenced the future models of the 911 turbo, including the hood line of the 996TT. You can see that the 996TT is a descendant of the slantnose from looking at the front ends. Just that one has pop up headlights and a busier rubber valance instead of clean one piece valence.
Of course there is no ass like a 930 ass. Two great cars!!! |

Yeah, a warm welcome to you too!
![]() ![]() Steve, VERY nice pics. I can say you have the best of both worlds. The 930 is raw and wants to be driven hard like a drunk bar $lut, and the more refined 996 is happy to go for a formal evening out, and can still rip the pavement apart if "called out". Again, nice pics.

beautiful stable-
In my opinion- the slant outlooks the 996... Am I being prejudiced?

Nice pictures. Is that the Tucson area?
It looks warm there too, unlike the icy, snowy winter we have been having here in Kentucky lately. Winters like this make me miss my home of 25 years in Southern Ca.

This is in Northeast Phoenix. It was warm about 75 Degrees. Winters here are fantastic. Summers are relentless.

I have been to Phoenix for the Formula 1 races but they were in the middle of the summer then and the heat was killer.

Damn! Life must be good!
![]() What kind of camera did you use? Did you use any additional filters to get that kind of effect in pictures 1 and 4?

I am using a Canon 20D. L lenses as well. That is a gradient effect that I was able to due with Lightroom. I don't need photoshop anymore now that I have Lightroom. Great software!!

the way you always staggered the cars makes a size comparison difficult... normally in air versus water cooled cars the water cooled look like big cars.. but you managed to get very good photos of each, at the same time.
