throttle linkage blocks at 85%

Hello,
during some upgrade work on my `87 930 I noticed that the throttle can
be opened only up to ~85%. The linkage touches the engine tin.
Seems I was lucky that the throttle wasn`t blocked at open throttle
during driving.
My car has a G50 swap, maybe thats one reason for this problem.
The engine position is slightly more to the rear end then it would be
without the G50.

Anyone has a picture or drawing showing the throttle linkage
going through the engine tin? Would be very helpful.

Further, how much power I have lost approx. with this limiter?

As I know you like pictures, maybe this helps
to understand my problem.

I can reachthis position pushing my pedal full down:

this would be WOT:

here a sketch where I suspect the reason:

and here a picture from my linkage at engine tin:

again, a picture from the linkage going through the
engine tin would be helpfull.

Since it's not stock, you'll just have to wing it and figure out what works.

To get my Carrera TB to feel right, I had to cut and weld all the bell cranks to get the right positions. Your problem might be as easy as just opening the tin a little, but if the angle is really like your pic you might need to modify some bell cranks too.

Here a picture from the linkage at 85% throotle position.
I suspect, as the engine moved backwards during the G50
swap (not my work) the linkage was not adjusted/bended
correct. I will try to bend the linkage for a better fitment first.

As asked before, a picture of a fitting/original linkage would
help a lot.

When I put my G50 in I had to completely make a new linkage cause the motor was moved back .625". It took some time.

I like to bring this back up, as my car is still not ready,
but hopefully soon.

What do you think how much power was not used?
I rechecked that all, the blockade is at 75-80%.
Means, I used max. 80% throttle all the time.
Would that result in 20% less power?

thanks
Falk
