Thoughts on Suspension

Daily driver....North Carolina.....roads are beating me to death. 1991 965....car is not a track star but limited DE for fun. What advice is available for one that would like a bit more civilized ride. Change springs? Change shocks? Both? I've looked into H&R springs but it seems that the only thing available also includes a bit of lowering. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Shocks would have the greatest effect on harshness, maybe yours are worn out. How many miles on them?

lowering?? and thats a problem?? 930s and 964/5s always look a little better lower! IMHO!
What type of setup are you running now? is it stock? if so you could have worn out shocks? but i have to agree a different shock setup might be the answer...

60000 miles...it is currently stock. And no issue with lowering (I like the look) other than maybe that springs that accomplished this would be more track oriented. I don't think the current shocks are worn...they are stiff as can be and transmit EVERYTHING....

But the shocks (more appropriately called dampers) are not supposed to transmit everything. Stock shocks are typically pretty well worn by 60K miles.
