Front mount intercooler

Has anyone done/seen something like this on a 930? From the pictures I've been trying to figure out where the tubing for the intercooler was ran. My only guess is that it was routed in the car and possibly under. Is anyone familiar with this particular car?

I believe that is an oil cooler. The ducting is just for the air flow across the cooler.

Wow, that's pretty interesting. Definitely an oil cooler. Lot's of fab work to "box it in" and run ducts in and out, but a clever way to keep from cutting up the front of the car with aftermarket valances and such. I wonder how well it works. For those who want to retain a fairly stock looking front end (but are willing to sacrifice the trunk space and spend the money on fabbing a box), this might be worth considering. I think it could be done to an earlier chassis. Could probably build in a fan, too. I'd be concerned that those two 2.5 in ducts might not bring in quite enough air, though.

I understand that's the oil cooler but the car has a front mounted intercooler. I pasted that link of the pic to show some of the ducting work but there isn't any clear pic of the intercooler. Which goes back to my original question. Since the intercooler isn't here -->
then it's definitely in the front and since it's there where/how did he route it .

I believe the intercoolers on that car (993) are located behind each rear wheel.

Damn edited cos Brian beat me to it.

You can clearly see in one of the pictures that there are huge cutouts in the rear bumper/fender.

A front IC on a 911 makes zero functional sense.

Someone sure poured the effort (and bucks) into that car - !

You are not joking. There's probably $1000+ in wiggins alone! I'm not a fan of polish but it certainly is very clean and well thought out.

I want to say he was engineering student that worked on his car while in school.

Lots of impressive work.

Definetly a cool car- I wish I could take her for a rip!
I guess the owner really really didn't want a turbo wing huh?
Very cool to say the least, and there was a lot of engineering into that car. I know this is a small part of the car, but did anyone else see the aircraft grade, bulk head electrical connections in the back of the engine bay?

well its certainly an interesting build,
i personally don't understand why you got through all the fab work of putting the ICs in the rear wheel well, and save the carrera spoiler? unless you were going for a sleeper look which would be uber cool.. but imho the GT2 flares defeat that! haha just my .02
now if that car had a stock carrera 2 body on it with that power it would be one of the sickest sleepers i've ever seen, till you saw the massive wastegate dumps out back! haha

That is Princeton Wongs car. Has always been one of my favorites cars. Haven't seen him on Pelican for a couple years.

I wonder what happened to Princeton? I guess he graduated college and moved on to bigger and better things.

He did some really cool work considering he had to learn to do the fab work as he went along.
