There u go, now no excuses Paul. And since u didnt get my original email, and just to ratchet up the pressure, i will post in public:

"Paul kind sir, king of nutty coooksters, sage, wit and modern day Shakespeare of the internet, welecome to 'Turbopalooza' 2009. Having the founding father of the world reknown 'S-FEST' brings unimaginable credibility and prestige to what would otherwise likely be a shoddy gathering of 930 ruffians and scoundrels, wastefully burning rubber on the track, hobnobbing with women of ill repute and consuming way too much alcohol in one sitting.

i think you put way too little faith in you trusty tubo steed to perform as she was designed. Sometimes, doing some good old-fashioned maintennance (valve adjust, replace pads and brake fluid, break a bottle of champagne over the bow) will give her just the zing and zip she needs to carry u here and back. In the unlikely event of a water landing, just remember that between u and Charlotte lie thousand of Pelican homes 'leaving the light on for you' Have faith my friend, be of light foot, and i think u will be pleasantly surprised by just how sturdy you 930 is.

I am looking forward to meeting u and the missus (as well as your wife and/or girlfriend0, so just get your arse down here, even if u have to drive one of those Auto Union thingamagjigs. "

Seriously, just do some good old maintennance, put in some track pads and Super Blue, and come on. I have driven as far as Barber in Alabama for a track weekend, and i swear the car runs BETTER on the way back from the track, like she just had an orgasm and is smoking a cigarette or something.

HEY GUYS: Please try and email me when as u fax your track day forms in to Sylvia. Just want to try and keep a head count on how many are coming.

Argh! You fokkers! Having yer way with me you are. Kickin' a guy on his bday even. Bastages, fargin sneaky bastages I tell ya.

Mike! Great to a) see you here b) hear that you're "IN"! Awesome. You should post here more, lots of fun here, great stuff, cool guys, etc. And wayway cool of you on yer offer - THANKS! Um... yeah... "needing it" isn't going to be an option but it's nice piece of mind certainly.

Justin... man, I hate my $%^&*$#@ email - dunno WTF I didn't get that gem. What a hoot. Dunno if I've ever been accused of being credible / prestigous tho - if anything I'll dumb the crowd down a notch or 3, got that going for me. But this event's shaping up to be quite legendary, I'll likely compose a shenanigan writeup once we've been fully 'inspired'.

I'm not sooooper worried about der steed (knocks woodrow) she's only got 45k and been fully sorted, tho I do have a few sort items staring @ me once she's fetched from storage next week (good timing ze Alumbish is eating it's trans, rebuild time). Flakey oil pressure gauge / light and a nagging slight sputter when @ 4th gear cruise under light throttle (goes away if downshift). No idea when valves last adjusted, been something I've been thinking about trying mesself (worrying about my everpresent Fecal Touch has had me hesitant).

BwHA! to the smoke after a poke in the whiskers bit - hilarity. And you make an excellent point about all the Pelican "lights on" along the journey. Cheers to that.

I'll fax my reg form in the a.m. ya bastids - I'll shoot you an email when I do Justin.

And, Gabriel / Jacob... payback's a biatch 8-)! My friends used to call me Bad Influence Man - I'll be f'n with yous all Sat. night now yeah heh heh.

June can't come quick enough... schwing!

ps. Wife? Who? This is a boyz weekend for me. Funfactor Inhibitor will remain here mommying my 3 little onez, I'm hoping to grab a nutty friend for co-pilot. I'll tell her you said hi 8-)...

I'm buying my girl a compression tester as a gift for making it through the winter. If my leak down test results are good you guys can count me in, this will finally give me an excuse to buy new tires.

I've never driven my car on a track so look for lots of this action.

eeekkk...you freaked me out for a second man. I had to count them. Its more like 13 weekends to ensure all is good to go. I need to upgrade the oil cooler, install the stainless braided brake lines, refresh brake fluid, and my alternator is making intermittent ugly sounds...I need more time than 8 weekends!

happy (belated) birthday Paul !!! You know, no matter how old u r, peer pressure rarely fails

Informal poll: Are u guys that r planning to run the track day coming to Charlotte Friday afternoon/ nite or just planning on showing up at Track Sat morning? Trying to start planning activities for Fri/ sat nite and just curious how many are going to be around Friday to drop by Zuff and want to maybe get together in Charlotte that nite. The main get-together will still be Sat nite after track day.

I'm pretty sure I'll start at the track. I'd have to pass it by to get to Charlotte and I'll be trailering the car.

I was also planning to arrive sometime on Friday. Since we're going to convoy, I suppose you can pick me up when you pass through the NYC area Paul.

Fersure Jacob. Sorry, when I replied I didn't mean to presuppose and speak for you considering we're convoying. Cool tho that we're on same page. We'll determine the reconnoiter plan as time approaches, and coordinate w/ Paul here where to shag him en-route assuming 'that' works with his intended itinerary.

Sweet.
