930 transaxle re-gear?

So...it seems that finding an '89 930 coupe that I find acceptable is possibly not going to happen. That leaves me to consider opening up my search to 965s and/or earlier 930's...then having the 4 speed re-geared to reduce the spread and make city driving a bit more enjoyable (I've no need to go 160-170mph).

Anyone here close the 930's ratios a bit and care to share their choices and experiences?

Thanks in advance.

841 ring and pinion will be very similar to a 5 speed without the 5th gear ( overdrive) that lugs the motor anyway below 80 mph. I have had more than one with the 841 or similar rear ratio and have always been amazed at the 1989 and later desire. I also have a 5 speed version and very seldom if ever use 5th. When I do shift to 5th, I usually shift back to 4th as the motor just runs better and sounds right.
