Stating to look like a motor again. Ran some mineral spirits through the oil cooler to make sure it's clean,TRE had them sonic cleaned for me.There's three of them, on Cristine.

Getting closer, still need to port my manifold.

Hey Robert, engine is coming along nice, all you need now are these 934 style headers.

What kind of tweeks lurk in you cam timing this time? And are you giving it the characteristic Christine purple tins (maybe more) or newly refinished black ones? Another metallic color? You can further your commitment to understated shock or better it depending on whether which styling cues may be pulling at you most these days of Indian summer.

FWIW wouldn't Taddman mean 1.75''?

Regards,

Regards

Just some SC ground cams and porting to 37mm intake & exhaust, intake manifold to match. Not really into bling on the motor just clean. Tademan to bad those 934 headers have the wrong flanges on them for my Turbo,I'm going to run the K28 RS11 on her.If I don't like it I can switch back to the K27 7006.

Che, beautiful work brother. U gotta be stoked with start-up not too distant.

BTW, are you planning on sticking with the same intercooler setup?

In keeping with the 934 theme, any plans for adjustable boost?

Seeing that the snows are setting in up here , I'll try the K28 with what's on her for now. If I come across a factory boost wheel, I'd install it on her. Cash is running thin right now, and still have some things on the need to do list.

Cool. May take a while, but the boost knobs pop up on ebay from time to time.

Got the last of Cristine's parts today. Ported half the intake, get the rest done tomorrow, also made some safety retainers for the hydraulic tensioners. Should have her motor ready to go back in by my birthday.

Nice slow going! Sorry about saying the slow part. When is your birthday? 364 days from today?

Can't wait to see your completed beast. Looking great.

Yep I sure am. I'm putting the exhaust on now, last to go on.Will post pic's tomorrow. Also the new turbo goes on K28 RS11, taking off the K27 7006, shows no sign of wear, shaft has no play.

Robert,

Very nice work !!! Here is the flange you need. These are the ones I told you about off the old Brumos car. I'm getting close to engine cleanup and install. Hope to debut on my birthday Mar.17.

Be sure you let me know what you think of the K28. The SC cams should really make it fun.

Well motor almost done, had to get new studs for the turbo. Also the flange on the turbo is 5mm thicker than the other one, so I'll have to get longer bolts. BOV will have to be spaced up to fit the down pipe to turbo. I don't want to cut & weld it, just in case I want change back to the other turbo.

I would love to use a set up like that, but I would have replumb the motor.

Beautiful work. You gotta feel like a proud papa.

Going to be agony now waiting for the snow to clear

Just curious, are any changes in the CIS necessitated by switching to the K28?
