His other eBay ad is for a Gemballa that needs work. His name is Eddie in the ad. What that be Eddie Bella (SP?), the go fast 1/4 mile guy?

There have been two threads on that car at the Rennlist turbo forum. It has literally been listed about 20 times on EBAY with people inspecting it, and PPIs done, and bidders winning the car, ect, ect.

Yet there it is....re-listed again.

I asked the owner why the last bidder did not buy the car and why the owner suddenly added the phrase "I will not entertain post inspection bids" to the ad, but all the owner said was that the last guy was a dreamer.

I think an inspection was done, and the last guy backed out of the deal, IMO.

So I guess you better get up there to NY and inspect the car at a shop before ever bidding on the car because if you win it he ain't gonna let you near the car.

The reserve price has been 40 grand for a while, don't know if it still is. He very often starts altering the reserve price all over the place the day before the bidding ends. It is his way of attracting attention, so maybe you can pick up a last minute deal. Who knows...

You have to keep in mind that many people that bid on this car likely know nothing about modded 930s (this is the person you don't want buying the car for many reasons). Then they get a corny PPI (I say corny because I used to do them) and the Porsche tech who only plays by the books says that things are wrong when they are not. If someone here gets that car at $40K they could likely part it out for that number. Im sure you would agree with me that this car would be a hell of a ride for 40K, just not in the current economy.

If he lowers it to the $30's that motor might be a good thing to go for.

Long story short car would not start

I disagree.

I think this car has been well researched and has had it's due diligence and is still on the market after 20 listings.

But mainly I think the seller's attitude toward PPIs stinks and I consider him not entirely trustworthy after having chatted with him a couple times.

But for anybody that wants to RUSH to NY within two days, you are welcome to get a PPI BEFORE the auction closes because after the auction closes you are just a DREAMER according to Eddie if you want a PPI.

Stolen from people like you and me.
Bash the car all you like (thats your opinion), but don't talk about Eddie Bello in that manner when you know nothing about him. I know him personally and I know for a fact that the scandals he was involved in were a misunderstanding- Don't always believe what you see on the forums- or ONE newspaper for that matter...
Eddie is a hard working honest man, I'm sure you wouldnt say that $hit to his face.

Hey Kris I met Eddie a few times when I lived in NYC and I have no opinion about the man's character nor was I trying to impugn his name but I do think the car is good for parts only. Bello seems like a good guy so I can't disparage him in anyway.

I deleted that post because it was irrelevant.

Hope it was all a misunderstanding like you say.

BTW since we are talking about character, the then Prosecutor for Westchester County whose office had jurisdiction in the matter(one of the wealthiest counties in the country) on the luxury auto theft ring was Jeanine Pirro, her husband is doing time, -maybe he is out now- for tax fraud, if you lay down with dogs you get fleas. Back on topic, this car has been listed a bunch of times apparently it is well developed but has some issues, that is why it would fetch more in parts.
