boost sensor resistance data
hello,
during this holidays I found time to measure the boost sensor resistance on the workbench. looks quite linear beside measuring faults. http://www.alumex.de/930/boostsens.jpg happy holidays Falk |
What year 930 was the sensor from? I notice you have a measurement out to 1.5 bar. When I measured my 1980 sensor I believe I hit a wall at .9 bar and didn't know if that was a senor problem or the upper range limit. Mine was also very ragged on the lower end indicating wear. I use a VDO mechanical and ignore the factory tach gauge.
Thanks Jim 1980 930 1995 993 |
Hello Jim,
this was a 87 sensor. But from the parts catalog, ALL years from 77-94 have the same part number. Falk |
Hey Falk, thanks for sharing the data. That kind of diagnostic information is the stuff I file away for future reference, if/when I ever need it. I checked mine once for somone who was doubting their sender, but I only checked it at 0 and at .8 bar. If I recall, mine was at about 112 ohms at .8 bar....pretty close to what you show.

Nice job Falk.
