Three are showroom, one has a few shallow / surficial scratches around the very inner edge (PO backed it into / down a slightly raised paver before realized). It's not bad enough that it's ever really bothered me and would easily be repairable.

Just querious - don' task 8-).

Thanks.

About $1600.

Do not sell them, put the 265/45 & 225/50 Khumo Ecsta XS's on them. They are the perfit 930
tire set up.

I was going to say $1500 with the scratched wheel.

For such short notice, why not just try the Khumos?

Perhaps you are making this overly complicated?

Sold mine for 1600.00 a couple of years ago. They sold within a couple of hours on the boards...

Ooooo! Thanks 911st (name please heh heh!) - I had NO idea of those, TR says 'new' so I guess I'm not too much to blame 8-). I do like the sound of that plan very much.

Interesting tho on $1600 - pretty much my guess, I figured $1500 low $1800 someone just dying to have them. Not overly complicating this, thought was to consider them recently posted 17x9.5s & 12's and paint myself out of having to worry about tire options again. Plus 'those' are simply what these cars outright demand / beckon / defy to be run. While I normally would ALWAYS argue keeping the Fuchs is best plan, 'those' are 'Fuchs' enough that selling the OE's to defray the pain was a thought.

Prob is, still need to by tires and 17's are more $ and and and and. Damn economy - grrr!

Anywho - tx for the feedback - I'm on TR site now and will hash a plan (whether to mount them prior to / after turboPalooza - hate to F up new rubber like that but may need to based off of current inner wear)...

265/45 & 225/50 - 16" Khumo Ecsta XS's should quickly become the standard for the 930 guys w 7&9/16's as soon as the word gets out.

Mine

I sold mine 16x9's and 7's for $1,700. They had rubber with 85-90% tread left and the rims had been chromed. They were in excellent condition other than the fact some purists thought they should not have been chromed. I thought they looked great.

The guy who bought them was in France. Here is a pic for reference. I think $1,600 is fair.

Paul,
You said " Not overly complicating this, thought was to consider them recently posted 17x9.5s & 12's and paint myself out of having to worry about tire options again. "

Just want to let you know that it's going to be tight to put on those size wheels. My car has 17x10's & 17x12's. The rears fit fine but according to the records I got with the car, the oil lines had to be modified to clear the wide rims. So, I'm not sure if the stock oil lines would work with 12's on the rear. As for the fronts, I had new tires (275/40-17) put on the fronts along with 315/35-17 for the rears. Although it's the right size for the 10" rims they rubbed on the fenders when turning (both on the front portion of the fender and the rear portion of the fender well wearing of the paint). This is with rolled front fenders. I'm having 245/40-17's put on the fronts this week. Hopefully this would clear this problem. I forgot to mention that my car is lowered quite a bit. I have no idea how much.

Just wanted to let you know of my problems with the fronts. Good luck with whatever decision you make!

Also, want to mention that you can get Sumitomo HTR Z really cheap! That's what I have on my 930. If money was not a problem I get better performing tires but they are at least twice the price as Sumitomo's.

Great reference point Bryan, that was helpful thanks.

Mike - tx for the reminder on the rub issue. My 951 IT guy @ work and I were combing those FS pics later today as the onion was picked back I read again his mention of what you said about the lines - and - quite terrifyingly - the abyssmal paint cracking from either poorly roll'd fenders or rub or both, overtly obvious in the pic. EEEEK, no thanks.

I was also debating those HTRZs you mention, as, Alumibiatch is getting the HTR-Z III's in a few weeks as they come quite well rated. Figured the urHTRZ's could be decent for the 930. My local bud runs them 255/50/16 BFG's on his twinplug'd '79, agreed on their bee-off-ee-ness, and I've been considering them too but reading the reports they don't sound that great. Old tire, likely end of life cycle, tho when I tried his car they seemed OK enough.

but

911st - Def. agree w/ you about these CUMho's (what I used to call my 255/40/17Y Ecsta MX's on my former urS6)coming to be amonst our world. The MX's were like blockulartastic pencil erasers, these current ones look like a real decent evolution.

Put my order in earlier, time to sched CB/lower/align tee hee.

Tx again for the soundboard guys - very helpful. There's much of these thoughts in the my other tread on "what Fuchs go for" too...
