Fuel Filter Fittings
So as part of my "while I'm replacing things" routine I wanted to replace my fuel filter. I purchased one from our host but the bottom fitting on the new filter seems bigger than the fitting on my fuel line in the car.
It's a 1985 ROW and the filter looks the same but different fitting. What size should the fittings be on the fuel filter? I'm thinking I may have an older/different fuel line or I have been sent the wrong filter. ![]() I will double check the filter/part number when I get home tonight but if someone knows or could measure the fittings I will be forever greatful.

I think I remember my new filter having an adapter that came with the new one for this purpose.
It was a genuine Mahle. The fitting screwed onto the bottom and was sealed with a crush washer. Check your old filter to see if the old fitting is still on there. |

As no said, check your fittings. The other idea is that you got the wrong filter because it's a ROW car. I had the same problem with my ROW 911 SC

Thanks guys. The new filter did come with an adapter but is a lot bigger than the one on my old filter. I should take some pics tonight.
I am thinking that Rocket is right and that the ROW must be different to the other cars. Our host only seems to have 2 different filters: 928 110 147 05 for 81-89 turbos and, 930 110 139 00 for 76-79 turbos. I checked and the filter I ordered was for 81-89 turbos.

I always went to a local place to buy the filter. This way I could see what I was getting ahead of time.
