Question Nato green 930 pic's wanted

Hi
Who has pic's of the Nato green 930? I've seen a couple posted before but can't find where they were. IMO that is 1 sharp looking car, thinking of doing that color for my 87 930

I'm researching a similar color for my project and there are some pictures and discussion more along the olive drab or satin black and flat black on this thread

Flat Black 911 Photo Challenge

Some pic's of the route I'm thinking of taking. NATO is an incredible car. I think there is a pic of it sitting in a garage in Japan within the above thread. We are moving to Penticton in the near future, maybe we could meet up some day. I'm building a 3.4L turbo .

Ahh, that color is soo sick. Totally bad-ass. Anyone have the color code?

Flat Nato green. Can you imagine having military type print on the doors etc: "driver" "Porsche Type-930" etc

I like the shinning finish a lot more than the matt look

Quick question guys, do you think the gloss Nato green would look good on a slopenose ? I am getting quite tired of my yellow.

I think a flat or satin Nato green on a slant would be perfect. The slants are ostentacious enough as they are.

There are NOT enough satin paint cars with shaved drip rails out there....the NATO RUF is pure sex.

I agree about the NATO RUF, I have seen something identical to that when I was working in Japan some years back.

Would like to get a flat nato green vinyl wrap done, problem is I have a bright yellow interior !

For those with matte/satin colored paint. Do you wax the car? Does it have rough finish on the paint? I never seen one up close. Cool looking though!

Yes you can wax the paint depending on how the satin or flat was achieved.

Mine is PPG single stage with a clear coat mixed in but the clear is what flattens out the finish. So you can still wax and polish it, but it won't react like a car with a gloss clear coat will look. When you wax a satin color it will appear deeper and more rich, not shiny.

Forgot to include that the paint will have a very smooth surface finish, not a rough one.

The Nato Green is not really my cup of tea but Ferrari Fly Yellow would look awesome on a slant! I have seen one 930 painted that shade of yellow from the factory and with all of the black trim, brake vents, rocker panel, and RUF wheels....well....pretty nice looking car and very unique. Maybe even more so than the Nato Green.
