HELP! No Spark!
I just did my valves getting her ready for turbopalooza and I also have to drive her to work this week. I put everything back together today and went to start her up and I have no spark. Pulled the plugs and they're wet with gas(but still a nice golden brown). So I've replaced the green wire from the distributor to the CDI box(it was brown and cracked from years of heat). and still no spark. I won't have a multimeter until the morning but where do I look next? I have a perma tune CDI that was put on back in 2002 but its ran flawless until now. Any immediate help is greatly appreciated.

Start with the basics: cap, rotor, plug wires. Check the wires/plug connection to the permatune and power/ground as well.

All connections are good. The cap, rotor, and plug wires are fairly new.
|
Call permatune or ck their website, as they have a test procedure for verifying the correct operation of their unit. Then ck coil, I believe there is a procedure in the manual for cking the coil.

check the alarm circut module ma be no good yo can jumper the terminal there is a few posts how to do this

update: the CDI box bench tested OK. got the info straight from permatunes website. the coil looked bad as there was brown goo/oil oozing out of it, so I dropped in a new coil. STILL NO SPARK! I think the only thing left to do is pull the distributor and replace the green wire from the distributor to the connection in the wiring harness since I replaced it already from the connection point to the CDI. I'm really at a loss here, hopefully she'll be ready to roll by the 26th.
