Need help getting open engine lid
I changed the spring mechanism on the engine lid now I can`t open it up. The lid pop`s when I pull the lever but it seem`s like it is still locked down. Is there a way I can pop it up from the bottom? Thanks in advance. Tim

Sounds like the rod in the spring is not aligned properly in the hole. It is probably catching on the edge of the tapered piece at the end.
Maybe you could try shifting the lid front to back or left to right while it is "popped" to see if it releases. Can you get a flashlight between the gap to get a better idea of what's happening? -Adam |

Should the cable to the lid ever fail, at least I'll be able to open the thing. Make damn sure the post latch with the spring around it is straight as an arrow and not bent. Got it open. I just gave it a shot w/two hands under the tail and wala it`s open. I then realigned the new mechanism and it now open`s.....Thank`s again
