The Sloan I refered to is the Richard Sloan car dealer. How many Sloan's in the Porsche expertise area are their?? I am refered to as Turbo Tony but another Turbo Tony may be out there. The other Sloan is a different person unless Richard Sloan moved to Florida. I hereby retract my Sloan recomendation.

Richard's still kicking it up here in schwanky CT - tho he did move from Woodbridge to Hamden. Just chatted with him couple weeks ago. Like you said - friendly gentleman, down to earth enthusiast. Refreshing!

Tony, your post days ago here was nail / head - felt good to read really - thanks for coming out and saying it, and so eloquently.

Nice score!!! And welcome to Pelican! This is the best source for everything 911...what you don't know you can learn very quickly here. Don't pay attention to some of the rude people who have posted...the majority here are friendly and eager to help.

The original owner must be an interesting character...from your last video looks like he had great taste in cars except his evident taste for late '80s Lincoln town cars. Caught a small glimpse of the Miura SV. How did you talk him into selling? Pack Rats like this are usually determined to hold onto things until they die.

Pretty cool that you've been after these cars for many years and are finally getting them. Gives some hope to many of us out there waiting for car pack rats to finally relent and sell.

Thanks for the kind words and for looking at the videos. As far talking him in to selling< I think he knew I would buy all of them and not brake up his happy little
family!!!
You have to think back to the late 70's early 80's. The lincolin town car was a sure sign that you had made it to the fast lane.
In the (alleged) dope trade that is!!!
The guys that are so negative are one's that this never happen's .

I'm surprised no one has mentioned it yet, but depending on just what those BB 'Vette's are equipped with engine and option wise, and obviously condition and mileage, they could be right up there with the most valuable cars in the lot.

Got pics and details?

No the Miura SV is by far worth more than the vettes .
There has been some Miura SV sell in the 7 figure range
and this car is by far the lowest mile car out there.
But is in need of a full restore that will cost 250,000 plus!!

vettes are big money cars but will never reach that stage

HOLY ****!! I just got home from seeing this car in person .The picture does
not do it justice!!
I now know just how much work I have ahead of me!!!

Another 2cents worth. I personally hope you keep the collection intact if that was the deal you made. However things change. as far as most of the cars are concerned my opinion is do as little as possible until you decide, if to dispose of some. Many enthustiasts can do most of the "getting it back to being right" themselves. Spending lots of $$$ to get it there just leaves many deserving owners out of the game. You will have both types of buyers to choose from, the competent do it yourselfers and the others that will pay to get it done. Another story about a similar situation was a friend who bought a New Gullwing off the assembly line ( before assmbly in 1957),as he felt that he could do a better job of putting it together and use better materials such as paint and zink based primer for inside the tube frame etc. and not put any careless assembly marks from the power tools on the screws and bolts and general flaws from production proceedures. It sat unassembled until he passed away about 7 years ago. He wanted to wait for primer life to exceed 500 years but time got to him first. Anyway Scott Grundfor ( priemier Mercedes restorer who the original owner interveiwed about 5 years before his demise) finally recently got it done and now it must be considerded the finest gullwing anywhere. Anyway it seems to me there is no rush so hopefully you will find the right "keeper" for it, which of course, may be you. Good luck with your decision(s) and thanks for sharing a great find. Yours may be as close to new( mileage wise) as is out there. In as much as the interior and underside look to be factory fresh the rest should be easy to put as new or better.

My deal with the seller was just to do with the purchase of the cars. As far as what to do with them after the fact was always to be my call. But after going to see a car with less than 5000 miles today I came away with the felling it is a bigger honor to own a car like this then originally understoood.
His passion and knowlegedge did not come from finding one in a warehouse. Spending the last week playing online I and getting alot of pm's.
There seems to be alot of poeple out there that think the car should be just cleaned up to the point delivered and not started for now!! I DO BELIEVE I AM JUST A KEEPER OF THE CAR AND NOT A USER !!! for now!!!

Have you found out what the market price is on the 79 (930) yet?
That would weigh into my decision on buying a used 911 as opposed to driving the 79

If it isnít Turbo, I have no opinion on the (85 conv carrera NA)

I really do not know what the price should be; I love to drive the snot out of these cars!
I bought my 87 930 with < = 38k milesÖI left skid marks leaving the POís house

If ya donít need to sell to buy, then drive that fír (IMO) Although, it would be nice to have a few
pristine examples around to know what the delivery looked like as these cars take on grotesque
shapes later in life after several POís.
