The 85 carrera conv for $8K, if in decent shape, is a bargain.

If you don't want it, let me know where it is and I take care of that.

Hi Ed, I would think you wouldn't want to do much to your 930 at all. I personally (if I had your budget) would fit everything back as you seemed to be doing and just clean it up. Not sure if I'd even change the tyres as they were the original ones. I'd leave the engine and everything just as it is, why have it taken apart when you can just leave it exactly as it left the factory.
It would cost a lot of money to get it roadworthy and spoil it IMO, better to buy a car you can use.

As for the carrera, they are great cars and make a great start to 911 ownership/driving. You can always buy a 930 to drive later on if you get bored of the carrera. I love my '84 model 3.2 carrera.

Make sure you don't overdo the 930, don't remove any stickers or throw anything away that might be relevant. I removed a shabby looking sticker from my carrera in the door shut when I first got it, little did I know I was doing the wrong thing... Had my carrera 11 years now and don't want to part with him despite having a 930.

Oh, tell the girl in the 3rd video that 'She's hot' for me please

The Miura is one of the very few non Porsche cars that I would love to own (finance permitting).

Yes, it's bad out there. I have been very lucky so far not to be affected yet, actually my mortgage is cheaper each month and our government put are VAT sales tax down from 17.5% to 15% so I'm a little better off each month. I have been told that I will not be getting a pay rise next year though.

Welcome from the land of Brumos.
I'm guessing the original owner went to jail? You had mentioned getting him lots of cigs, knowing he wasn't going to be driving for a while and the early 80's drug trade...so......Sounds like an episode of Miami Vice. Cool finds!

Being from jacksonvlle maybe you would know how get old brumos plate!!
The really sad thing is that he had three other 930's that were stolen while he was paying for his transgressions.
I have got all the MSO and paper work on those cars as well.
Looking in to the possibilies of getting the cars back!!!!

You can find the Brumos tag frames on e-bay and The Samba all the time. Usually like $40.00 or something crazy like that. They are metal however. Here this guy has some:

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=686360

That's too bad about the other 930s. Wonder what ever happened to them. I wonder if the vins were changed or ?

I was just at the ford dealer and they had a red 928 tucked back in a corner of the detail shop that had fuhrmann seats in it.
