930, made a top 10 list !!!!
|
No suprise...proud of it! Ya just gotta pay attention and all will be well. That's why nobody drives mine but me.
I haven't spun it (yet) and with no track available, if I did it would be on some narrow back country road with nasty stuff to bump into beyond the shoulders. |
What no Corvair ?::eek::cool:

Trust me, you haven't lived until you've gone off the road backwards in a 911...
You learn what the more experienced drivers mean when they say "Never Lift!" ___________________ Steve 1989 930S Factory Slant |
I concur.....it is one of those things you have to experience.
|
its hard to not let go. I spun it when my turbo kicked and spun my wheels like mad and lifted. That was it. Almost got it back if the road was another 10 more feet. I didn't expect the turbo to come on that fast when I had my ring and opinion lowered.
|
Off road I let my car power oversteer for fun when the boost eventually came on.
I found that lifting off in mine at say below 50mph wasn't too bad, but only due to the LSD helping. You certainly couldn't do this on the road trying to keep in a lane or something. |
i have owned 3 on that list.....wow Dr. Porsches designs got hit pretty hard here.
dont regret any of them though. wish i still owned them all. |
the only reason the 930's on there is because it takes balls to drive fast. not every joe blow can jump in one. todays sports cars are so refined that they can be somewhat boring to drive. btw, I've looped her around once. after that, stay in it, carry the slide out, and look like a hero.

Who comes up with these silly lists? If you are stupid enough you can get killed in just about anything if you don't know what you are doing. Bath tubs probably still rank higher than any of these designs. Wish folks had better things to do with their time thaan come up with sthese silly lists.

However, I did like the statement someone made earlier about "just realizing he had been driving around in his coffin..." I'm sure he was being fecisious, though!! |
