930 dd
Does anybody use their 930 as a daily driver? Any increase in maintenance or any issues that have come up?? I'm looking to get another Porsche,, I've tried the whole family car thing 05 xterra and 07 tundra.. but I was happiest in my 85 targa with no heat and no ac.. lol..

I've driven mine 25,000 miles in the last 3 years.
Gas mileage is kind of a consideration. It would probably suck worse if it were a overweight 930 shell with a 4-speed and a 3DLZ, but it isn't...

I drive my 930 everyday and have really enjyoyed it. Over the last year, I've put about 12k on it and had a few problems but nothing I would consider out of the ordinary.
The downside is there is more opportunity for bad drivers to run into you, and the additional mileage on the car. I definitely think that these cars like to be driven. My car went from probably less than 1k per year to daily driver and it runs better now than when I bought it. Paul

Yes, probably...but why? It is reasonably reliable if taken care of but certain things are not worth wearing out (3:rd gear sync, brakes, clutch etc.)
Definately no for city driving, too hard and too wide geared.

I used my car as a DD in Los Angeles traffic for about a year. It works, as long as you don't mind the lack of creature comforts like modern AC. Only once did I get stuck in traffic and wish the clutch wasn't so heavy. No unusual maintenance issues.
