what parts are required to replace the magnesium pressure chamber?

Folks, what parts do I need to allow me to remove the magnesium pressure chamber from my engine altogether?

I'm guessing I'd need a silicone hose to link the IC to the butterfly valve/throttle body component...correct?

How would I mount the intercooler itself? Where would the two tabs (left and right) attach?

What other parts would I need? I see other threads that speak of an elbow and BOV, but how do those go on - where do they attach?

The easiest would be to buy a long neck intercooler that will bolt up in place. after this you would need the later year induction elbow with blow off/pop off valve from the 964 model cars.
not sure how you could adapt the current intercooler as you mentioned easily.

I have heard of one person who cut the "neck" off of the lower intake manifold (the magnesium piece referred to earlier...which is actually the manifold that houses the boost recirculation valve. That "neck" then becomes the spacer and attachment point for the stock or aftermarket short neck intercooler. Of course, the neck would have to be plugged on the cut-off side...which may mean some fancy welding of sorts.

I thought of doing that myself last time I had that lower manifold off to fix a broken IC mounting point. Simpler by far to install a long neck IC and induction elbow as Fredmeister allready mentioned.

Doesn't the Kokeln intercooler setup eliminate the blow off valve housing?

Yes. "Long-neck" ICs eliminate the use of the old (original) style BOV/recirc valve. They incorporate the 964 elbow with a smaller BOV/recirc-valve.
