930 turbo in Thailand, what oil to use?
Hi
It's 1986 ROW with a few modification. Ruf intercooler, SC cams, K27, ported and polished, Crane ignition, 1 bar boost. I don't boost in every gear and I am a slow driver by nature. Occasionally track driving, perhaps 5 times a year. I think Bangkok and L.A. have similar climate, except that BKK is average temp at 75F year round and more humid. What kind of the motor oil would you recommend using? Would it be semi or fully synthetic? Thank you Burint

I would say you're closer in climate to Honolulu. I use conventional 20w50 in my 930.

Mobil Delvac1. Its a diesel oil. Much better than petrol/gasoline oils.

Dewolf,
Diesel oil? this is new to me. What make you decide to use the Mobil Devac1? I really want to learn more on that. Thanks WPOZZZ, Slow&Rusty, Yes, the 20W50 (non synthetic) is what I have been using, so far no problem yet. Just want to check on you guys who live in the similar climate. Thanks for sharing.
