Hey Guys, Doing the ignition part of my build. Elec. is not high on my list of things I enjoy doing. Am I going to need access to this boost controller at some point ? Not much room in the engine compartment, where I have chosen to mount the MSD components. As for the factory wiring harness that runs under the intake manifold, there are a few wires that will no longer be used. I have eliminated the smog equipment, and will no longer need the coil wiring, or frequency valve wiring. What have others done ? New harness, or just pulled out the wires not needed. Philip

Quite a few people have mounted theirs on the firewall as you have. I managed to find room in the stock CDI location for both the 6AL and the BTM (do a search, this was discussed recently).
Once you set the boost onset threshold adjusted on the body of the BTM itself, then the only other adjustment is how much timing you want to retard for each psi of boost...and that adjusment piece is all you'll probably be tempted to mess with (and can easily be mounted anywhere convenient). As to wires in stock harnesses....just leave them in place, used or not. Nothing to be gained by pulling out a couple of wires.
