He recently busted his tranny (with the LSD and guards chromoly shafts) under power, and replaced it. He chose not to go with the G-50 but instead stuck another 915 in, but without the LSD. I would like to find out if he bought an unknown tranny off Pelican for $700 and stuck it back in the car so he can sell it. (If this is not the case than I apologize for being curious) but I saw this thread: FS: 915 /62 Euro Transaxle - $750 + shipping

Maybe he ended up spending the money to completely re-build a tranny but I would need to see documentation such as parts bill and labor bill from this last month or so.

The build on the engine was about 8-10 years ago, and Chris at turbokraft has not seen the car in person, but sent him the engine parts in the mail, is my understanding, and this is back when turbokraft was still powerhaus. The owner has been running it up to 1.5 bar on CIS with race fuel and he was getting a lean reading (maybe during tuning?) so Chris sent him extra fuel systems for the CIS in the mail.

The chassis is straight 911 carrera. I would be curious to see the actual dyno charts for this vehicle. 600+ hp and 1.5 bars of boost on electromotive and CIS?

The car is beautiful, but too many question marks for me right now.

Feel free to correct any and/or all of this information, after all I am simply giving my impression.

Again, it is a wonderful, wonderful car!

It is just with something so custom it would be best if there were more details so one can make a better informed decision. I would want to know if the 600hp is on race fuel at 1.5 bar. The chance of someone thinking it was built on a 930 or maybe a 76 930 chassis has potential (different suspension points and rear arms). For some states the year of the chassis is relevant as to emissions requirements & registration. I am recalling this might be a ROW 3.2 chassis and in some states a non US car can be a challenge.

It is a Euro 3.0 litre 911 SC chassis. The bodywork was done 15-20 years ago by the previous owner Russ. The current owner apparently helped build the engine with Russ together with engine parts supplied via powerhaus/turbokraft thru the mail. The intercooler is two Garrestons welded together, and this also might have come from Powerhaus/turbokraft.

All I know is it is Chris who runs turbokraft currently and he mentioned selling powerhaus to some other guy. He has never seen this car in person.

Probably has over 400 to bust up a 915 ( soon to happen again if replaced with same) if any where near 600HP. Other than the G50 option a 76-77 930 will fit and a 78 thru 88 can be shortened @ Patrick Motorsports for about $1400 plus around $2K for the transaxle and more $$$$ for whatever it will need inside . Irregardless a neat car with lots of good stuff.

Well If i get it it it will be touring the upper Wi area, in particular the Road America 4 mi curcuit & Black hawk Farms raceway on light track use days and back road cruises. I may even move somewhere north of Florida soon to extend the driving season ( too hot with strong winds and rain measured not in inches there ). Very tempting indeed, especially that I have a fresh comp 930 4spd not being used.

Tony...I (we) urge you to buy it! This car needs to stay in the pelican's hand. Obviously, your 930 trans is waiting for its host.

A few cosmetic issues are holding me from pulling the trigger. I like cars near perfect ( even modded ones ) and have a few projects already in progress, othewise the car seems like a unrepeatable deal for many thousands more than $20100 it will get sold for as the reserve has been lowered and has been met. I talked to Chris and he would prefer to sell to a Pelican buyer or someone who would really appreciate it.

Hey, I understand about not wanting to pull the trigger. It'll be interesting to find out who the buyer will be.

Looking closer at the inter-cooler it looks like it was set up for a CIS twin turbo set up and they just closed off the second opening. I remember seeing PH twin turbo conversions being offered in the Porsche mags years ago based on a modified SSI header set up with a turbo hung off each side. Interesting.

Still one of the best looking turbos ever.
