Going rich

Ok guys thought I'd start a new thread for this.. Here's the situation on my 86 stock 930

I have excellant fuel pressure
Can't find a boost or vacuum leak
Digital WUR
Starts fine and idles at 14.7 AFR - although is "hunts" or surges

What could be the cause??
Stuck cold start injector ???

Help!!

Do I understand correctly that it's hunting/surging at idle?

Try running a bit richer at idle. Just a simple twist of the mixture adjustment screw. It seems these cars run better when on the slightly rich side. Can't hurt to try it....I run mine at 13.8 to 14.2.
Do you trust your AFR's as being accurate?

what I'm trying to say is that it goes much richer when running but is idling ok except that it surges. when running it's between 10.0 and 13.5 AFR.. and I can't tune it out..
sorry for my not being clear

9dreizig, that was my experience before when my vacuum hose from digiWUR was plugged on the wrong place. If you disconnect the hose or don't have a good vacuum where the hose is plugged, your MAP on idle would be 0.9. On idle according to Unwired Tools, your MAP on the UTCIS software should be reading 0.4 - 0.6. If it is greater than 0.6, then the digiWUR would falsely assume that you are always accelerating and making the AFR rich (as analyzed by 911st on my problem before).
I also unplugged the stock oxygen sensor and tuned my car from there (Mark Houghton explained to me the benefit of this).

You may want to read this too: pages 7-13

930 thanks but the WUR is showing 0.5 at idle and is consistant with the boost guage.

Sorry if I'm "stating the bleeding obvious", but this is AFTER the warm-up cycle has finished?

Do you hear big changes in the tone of the engine as the CP rises during warm-up?

TJ, yes this is after the warm up cycle. Engine was starting ok and running fine during warm up ( although now that the temp here has dropped warm up needs to be fine tuned)
