I couple of years ago I posted WTB a 3.0L Turbo motor to modify and install in a narrow body light weight.

This past spring I was contacted and bought a '77 3.0L Turbo motor in boxes. It was presented as having a K27 turbo and this is what I found as I went through everything.

Up to yesterday when you posted your turbo I was concerned the turbine A/R may not be appropriate. Now I know it is. Thanks.

It should work just fine on a 3.0 not to highly modded. I had to take mine off only because it needs to get rebuilt. I replaced it with a Andial K29 and that does pull thru the upper RPMs stronger as it is a 3.3 medium modded with 325 RWHP. With the 999 as it seemed to be at its boost limit in the upper RPMs however I could get it to pull thru 1.1 bar. Some have said they used two 999s with a 935 twin turbo @750 HP. If correct that seems about right. The car is a 79 930 that was used for Porsche DE from around 1984 thru 1990. The roll bar is out and the interior is reinstalled otherwise everything else is there as a ( old school ) race on Sunday drive to work on Monday sort of car.

Not to hyjack but I thought to post a photo of the retired DE car, in street trim. It still sees some uncompetitive driving on the local tracks and smooth country roads as it was built quite awhile ago. Can't wait for spring.
