It's a good looking car with tasteful mods. The headlights trim rings need to be painted body color. I wonder why there were no engine pix of the 31 taken? Is there an intercooler? Any paperwork/records or engine rebuild after almost 150k miles?

What would a stock 76 go for in good shape? They are asking $29k.

EDIT: Why does the ad say 91,000 miles and the odometer say 146,992 ???

'76 US #285

My '76 has the original 3.0 with the usual upgrades, Kokeln IC, K27, SC cams, headers, and is very responsive, pulls good, and with changed gearing is very drivable. I'm not impressed with the brakes but have an S4/965 brake upgrade ready to go so won't be an issue for long.

Really dig that interior. Clean and simple. Does anyone know if those are RSA seats?

he said he could sell it with 1000mile delivery included for 27k. But I found a local 84 930 with 64000 miles guards red for 25k. Passed leakdown test.No oil leaks. Everything works including ac and clock. Black leather interior. Says its a euro car that was converted to US specs(cat converter?) with documented metal tab in engine bay stating company that did it. 2 owner car. with clean carfx. Tight sterring, no smoke and pulls amazing. I was at almost 90 in 2nd gear!!. I am going with this one....
Actually one thing not working. Boost gauge not work. But overall awesome and in the color I want. Were it not for this one(I found it , checked and tested it today), I was gonna get the 3.0 pictured above....... but now your posts about the 3.0 liter have me second guessing myself!!!!!!
I will post pics when I get it tomorrow. I wont be able to sleep tonight.

also speedometer was changed to mph instead of km as part of the "us " conversion when the car had 600 miles on it.
Does that mean the car was from europe and brought here and had to be US specced?

I really really like that color combo!

My first 930 was a 77 with the 3.0L slighted modded. The car came with a Ruf intercooler, SC cams, larger KKK turbo, Euro fuel head and 1 bar boost spring. Wheels, brakes and suspension were stock, big DP tail (I love those!). It was fast just like that, but then I added B&B headers and muffler and the car really felt strong.

I bought the car 11 years ago at a cost of $24k. It had 25k documented miles so very low use, but the car had some leaks that had to be addressed which was reflected in the final price.

With your particular car I would do aftermarket IC first - thats just free HP and adds reliability. Go with the biggest one you can fit if you want to make 450hp.

The second thing you must address are the brakes. The 3.3 brakes are a lot better and I felt like I was practically risking my life with those pre-78 brakes and 350+ hp. Upgrade to the big red calipers and rotors - they have kits for the pre-78 cars.

Beyond that tons of great mods for the 3.0L cars - for 450hp (flywheel) I would go with bigger P&Cs to bring displacement to 3.2L, 964 cams, ported heads with better fuel head, bigger KKK turbo and B&B headers and muffler - probably stay with 1 5/8 header due to the smaller displacement.

If you get 450hp in a 76 Turbo you will have a very fast and fun ride
