I had a locksmith make a duplicate key for my '88 turbo not too long ago. He used Ilco blank X58. I think it is for a Honda but it works perfect for the alarm switch. It is differect than the door/ignition key on my car.

The auto heat should be between the seats over the emer. brake is controlled by the temp sensor by the mirror the +1 was for the key slot in the door that arms and disarms the alarm system.

You are not going to do you or your 930 favors running 1 bar of boost with that stock junk intercooler especially in FL heat...beware..!

Also what is done to the TransAm to have 500+whp? That is a huge dyno number for a car with stock 15" wheels, how do you drive it \ control it?

The key blank for the alarm is a 944 steel ignition key blank. Mine was broken off in the lock when I got it. So you can get one with a porsche logo on it. It's very easy to remove the lock from the door. Try pulling it out and see if a locksmith can make you a key before bying a new one.

Do you have to run a cat? Almost all get rid of it and may find they can still pass the sniff test w/o it.

I would want the lowest back pressure muffler I can stand w no cat. Set the CO to 3%. You already should have euro headers/heat and they are not a bad set up and holds up very well.

Congrad and enjoy!

Nice car!! I always wanted a TA. They are one of my favorite cars, they just have that look. Is that the same front plate that the Bandit had on his? All you need now is a "Talker" to be complete. Now let the mods begin!!!

thanks to all. The t/a does make that much power but not that I have taken it over 110mph. The thing is heavy and not feel very stable.brakes are stock disc but not that great. Suspension is upgraded and has larger sway bars, trac bars and subframe connectors However it so much fun from stoplight to stoplight and it burns those tires!!!. The shaker looks bad ass too as the engine is revving. BUT not a highspeed car. at least not for me.

so Euro cars had better header/heater box setup than us versions.?

When you get the key issue sorted out you have to turn the key to the right to turn on the alarm, pull the key and close the door. when you open the door you will hear a ticking sound to remind you that the alarm is on or even if its working or not, don't know how long it ticks for before the alarm sounds, if you open the passenger door first when the alarm is set it will go off right away, least thats how mine works. I never tried either key in my front hood latch so don't know if it is ignition or alarm that fits it

I've been trying to find a key blank that fits the alarm lock for over a year. I believe one of the suggestions was the Ilco X7 blank....didn't fit. I'll try some of the blanks mentioned above, but at this point, I'm afraid that if I mess with the alarm system it may end up killing the engine or making it hard to start. At least at this point the car runs well, starts immediately, and the AFR's are right at 14.7 for idle and cruising. If you find the right key blank for that alarm slot in the door, please let me know... In the meantime, I'll try looking for that Ilco X58 OSI 930 mentioned above.

They gave me the run around for 4 months on parts I had ordered and paid for they actually sold some of the parts I had paid for to another customer and told me that is what they did. They were nice enough to me on the phone till the end kinda reminded me of a person who could look you in the eye and smile as they are shoving a knife in your back. Just because it says they have it in stock on the website doesn't mean they really have it. Buyer beware. I use Oklahoma Foreign Gary is busy but he will work with you.
