here is a 76 i saw on e-bay this am in NC.

Porsche : 930 : eBay Motors (item 320479014471 end time Jan-30-10 17:10:02 PST)

looks like this person collects 930s and has a green 76 next to it and a couple others in the pic I can't tell what they are. i imagine someone on the board knows this person or maybe he is active on it.

BTW keep this thread going. it is nice to know what is out there FS. thanks for setting it up.

Disappointment!

The one I've been after in Utah was sold to the person who contacted the sell a few hours before me. That was back on Jan 6th, the seller kept telling me he felt the deal was not going to happen with this other buyer, but after 17days he came up with the money.

Sorry to miss-out on this one!

link might be good for a few more days

Empty Garage,
There are a few 930's in the area. The white one lives in Dartmouth, as does a Fly Yellow 3.6. Another double black 3.6 in the Valley. Very nice Mocca Black over black in Bedford. Owner is fanatical about keeping factory fresh. Was a good track prepared Wine Rot in Truro but this may now be in NB. Couple of 993 turbos. Couple of newer 996 and 997-based turbos as well. Mine is the ratty Mocca Brown 930 with Fikse 17's.
Cheers

I saw your's parked on Quinpool st last summer during the "Show and Shine". A Florida car. As for the rest in the province they keep a pretty low profile.

I saw that Truro car for sale in the spring. I really thought that it was a fake ad as there was another ad at the time for a blk 930 in Halifax with water in the back ground and palm tree's.

My dark brown 930 is originally from PQ. Full Canadian delivery version. Must have had the Brumos tag frame on the day you saw it...

I don't usually post the ebay cars but. Odd story and maybe a project for someone. Looks neglected.

IIRC that car had the clutch problem or engine problem. Dunno if it's fixed now?

That seller is a fraud. I'm surprised that he still has not been caught also that he is using the same name and car.

I've noticed a few fraud listers. They generally have car prices that are to "good to be true" . Lately there has been more of this activity with car being offered at 21K

But you never know so check things out carefully.

Do you have personal experience? One pelican member though he was ok but the engine was bad.

25 bidders to over $24+K for that? A great example of blindly buying miles ( claimed ) 27 thousand miles on a car that looks like it has over 200 thousand. Those eBay bidders need some guidance.

That car does not look well taken care of, especially for 27K. I am not even sure I believe it is a turbo....

Empty, if I can give you one piece of advice from someone who bought their car off EBay, don't go there unless this person is also listing the car here and is known. unfortunately I didn't know about this board when I bought mine and ended up with a money pit.
I have seen quit a few clan, well maintained and modified cars here for sale. In the long run I would highly suggest paying a little bit of a premium to find one of the nicer examples from an owner on this board. Trust me paying 35K for a nice one here will save you 10K over buying a 25K car on EBay. Just my $20000 advice from someone who knows.
Stephen

It's obviously a turbo as it shown by the engine compartment and the serial number. CAr is early Turbo Carrera. May not look so hot, but maybe the records tell another story. Also appears to be al there.

Good advice for the most part. However, not everyone who owns a Turbo or happens to be selling one is a member of this board. There are some ghood cars/deals on ebay from time to time.. you just need to know what you're looking for, or have the car checked out by someone who does. Can you say PPI

I thank everybody's advice on this car but it's really not on my short list. I've taken the advice I've received here and in literature that says pay for a good car upfront not a cheap car that is going to require some endless amount of money...and time..... only to get what you could have gotten in the beginning.

That being said I do have a budget that forces me to buy smart and keep my expectation reasonable. Mechanical #1...Desired up-grades #2... interior and exterior curb appeal #3

Still emptygarage!
