Well, you're priorities are right.. but also I would add to make sure that "your ducks are in a row" and you're ready to pounce when the right car turns up.

When it does, that seller may be ready to move-it fast and not be of the mindset to wait around for your bank or discussions with the wife..., first one to show up with the cash wins!

Good luck and Happy hunting!

So true onboost. When I got mine I didn`t tell the wife, I hid it for two weeks in a friend`s garage and brought it home to "suprise" her on Father`s Day. I figured she couldn`t get mad at me on that day. It all worked out and we are all now a big happy Porsche family.....

I really think that someone here on Pelican should buy this.

1989 Used Porsche 911 962 POWERED SPEEDSTER at Speedway Auto Center in Las Vegas, NV, IID 4508997

It might start to see the ashphalt and we would love to see the track video and pictures

Is it just me, or are these cars really worth this kind of cash?

930 PORSCHE TURBO 1989

1989 Porsche 911 Turbo Cab, 1 Owner 57kmiles. Like new !!!

$55,000 and $59,000 for 1989 930's???
Those figures are way off from the Excellence magazine values.

Please, any feedback for the values of these 89 930's would be very helpful as I am looking at buying one for much less with comparable mileage!

Thanks!

The $55k white/blue coupe has an owner that tells a bit of a moving target story (not necessarily a problem that translates to a car with problems...but not reassuring either).

I'd like to go look at that car and had a most gracious and knowledgable fellow pelican offer to look at it when he was in the area. The owner waved him off at the last minute (literally minutes from looking at it) by saying it would be a waste of his (the owner's) time to show it to anyone not looking to buy it themselves... That was almost a year ago.

I still think about that car almost every day.

If everything is way off from what Excellence magazine is saying, then would it be fair to assume a fair mileage 1989 930 (60-70,000 miles) with a clean history should fetch above $50,000???

I think that these are at least 10K over priced. I know of a few 1989's that are 35-40K, they are clean, mid milage cars. I've been looking for an 89 but I'd like it to be 400 hp or more. These seem much harder to find then the stock cars.
