930 distributor cable, cracked

Hi,

Need help to get part number for the cable on the distributor on my 930 78' mod.
The bosch connector just falled apart and cable is hard and cracks up.



This is part numer for distributor: 0-237-301-005

I believe you can purchase them from our host as I did recently. 930-602-907-01-M14 as listed on PP: Porsche 911 & Carrera Ignition - Page 7

This cable is known to be a problem for many and replacing it is always a good idea.

If you got a dismantler near you:

Lots of Mercedes and BMW got almost the same distributor, only shaft is shorter. So you can take about 90% of the parts to repair yours for a few bucks.

Get the one for the 928, it's exactly the same except it's 30" long if yours doesn't have the plug but goes straight to the CDI. That's what I used. 928-602-907-00-M100
