CDI capacitor? I've never seen one. Do you have pics? Where is it located?

Just as I suspected! That's not a CDI capacitor, it's a radio noise suppressor that is connected to your external voltage regulator.

...and if you unplug that thing, your radio will buzz with rpms beyond 4000, and your boost will spike, your dash gauges will dim, your heater won't work, and....worste of all....your clutch will slip.
Don't believe me? Well then, in the words of Clint Eastwood - "Are you feeling lucky?". Take if off and see what happens (uh...personally, a radio is something of little value when you're trying to concentrate on the twisties under full boost).

Haaaaaaaaaa you have 2 #7s . On my diagram it list the radio shield below the voltage reg and the cdi cap above the voltage regulator. It is a capacitor 2200 micro fahrad at 40 volts and it acts like a cap.

Really? I've never heard of that. Learn something new every day. Good luck with your search. I wonder if someone added that later.

Could be one for the CDI and one for the voltage regulator in that picture?

EDIT: I see they both have CDI and voltage regulators.
