I have never personally worked on transaxles so pose this elementary question. How, without disassembling my transaxle, do I know for sure that I do or do not have an LSD? The trans is out of the car. I believe all 930 trans had LSD so I imagine mine does. Feels like it has clutches however. When I rotate one CV hub forward I can feel resistance on the other hub. I can rotate both hubs in the same direction at the same time. Opinions please?

Thanks EPS the Simple
Very simple test, and by the way LSD was an option on 4 speed boxes! If you turn one shaft and the other turns the SAME way it has LSD, if it turns the opposite way it's a normal diff

and it was option number 220.
if it's origonal to the car and the sticker is still on the underside of the front hood, 220 will be on the list of options.

I've heard that a Quaife ATB differential acts like an open differential with the wheel test stated here. So it may have a Quaife in there.

Stand on it in first gear on a slight bend, if you catch a glimpse of your own taillights you have an LSD!

Any luck selling your car?
