duck tail on 930

Is it possible to replace the turbo tail with a duck tail? If so, does anyone have pictures of one?

thanks,

Mark

Yes, if you have no intercooler or a custom split intercooler. You can use water/methanol injection to compensate.

Do a search here for photos. I have misplaced all mine but I know of several cars documented here.

Might as well go all the way and build an RSR replica.

So how does this upgrade affect the aerodynamics of the car when finished? On the street no biggie, but what about if you track your car from time to time. Just wondering...

Bill,
The ducktails don't create downforce they just eliminate lift, the whaletails create downforce, so they are a better choice for track work. Of course any of the modern rear wings will do this even better.

Only the 964,993 RS, RSR wings make downforce. All others just reduce lift to one degree or another.

You must consider the front and rear spoilers as a system, always.
