I can see that those adjustable timing gears are great for exact timing.

As to how much this effects power in the mid range I do not know for sure.

However, there was an PCA club racer that ran a 3.2 Carrrea and tested advancing his cams. Going from stock Carrera to a setting for more mid range added about 2-3% in the mid range. He felt it gave him an advantage over his competitors out of the corners and that is improved his lap times.

Am I doing something wrong or is this the case?
The setting in the wheel was only 1 hole to the side to get either 1.4 or 1.7.

Should I go with the 1.4 setting?

My goal is mostly street with some trackdays

I'm going to be doing this soon. Did you find a reason for only being able to set 1.4 or 1.7 or is that the only options? I want to get early power so I will be shooting for the 1.7 but I was hoping to learn all I could beforehand.

I ended up setting mine to 1,65

I struggled a bit to get right side equal to left.
Moving the pin 1 position gave me to big of a difference, so I ended up taking out the drive gear and turn it to another position in the chain and then try again until I had the correct setting.

Engine is going back in the car this weekend, so I am exiting to test out the performance :-)
