Help with header installation

OK I am in the process of installing Brian's headers. I have everything all bolted up and the fitment is spot on. I am having a ***** of a time with the wastegate however. I noticed that the wastegate has two metal tubes, one on the top and one on the side. When I removed the wastegate I notice that the top was not connected to anything and the side was connected to black tubing from the intercooler. I cannot get the wastegate up in position with these metal tubes attached. They originally traveled thru holes in the same shield that my 02 sensor travels. If I remove them then It fits in place. Any suggestions? BTW I did call a leave a message with Brian but of course it is a Saturday night. Please help!

Sorry I missed the call, watching a movie with my daughter.

The tubes need to be removed, then bolt on the wastegate, then put the tubes back. They do NOT go back in the same exact orientation as stock. The banjo bolts will allow you to swivel them around so that the boost signal tube can go through the stock hole in the tin while the vent tube can sit next to the inner fender out of the way of debris.

If all else fails you could cut the tube at the banjo and run the directly to that and secure with a hose clamp
